MVJCE ranked 6th in a pool of 200+ colleges based on the number of university ranks obtained by its students in the academic year 2018-19.
For 10 consecutive years, Outlook Magazine has placed MVJCE among India’s Top 65 Engineering Colleges in India. MVJCE received this honour in 2011 to 2020 as published in their issues released in the month of June every year.
A survey by The Week and Hansa Research placed MVJCE among Bangalore’s Top 5 engineering colleges for 2020. MVJCE also has the distinction of ranking 17th among Private Engineering Colleges in the South Zone (The Week: June 2020).
Admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.
It is mandatory for students seeking admission through the Management Admission process, to undergo an online test in the campus.
Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.
Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Civil / Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing / Industrial Production / Automobile Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):
Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science & Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):
Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology / Transportation Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):
Student should have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Technology (or equivalent degree such as AMIE, in the appropriate branch) with a minimum aggregate of 60%.
Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):
Student should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer science & engineering / Information science & engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Student should have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering & Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Industrial IoT / Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) / Electronics & Computer Engineering (or equivalent degree such as AMIE in the appropriate branch), with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
Qualifying Entrance Test (Either option):
Admission to MVJCE Post-graduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) examination and selection process, or through the Management Admission process.
Student should have a Bachelor Degree from a recognized University, with not less than 50% (Management Admission: 60%) aggregate marks. In case of students from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category – I, the aggregate shall not be less than 45%.
Note: A student seeking admission through the Management Admission process, should have cleared any one of the examinations below:
International / NRI students seeking admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management Admission process are requested to contact the Admission Cell at the college campus, directly, and obtain the Application Form.
Student should have passed II PUC / 12th Standard or equivalent examination, with English as one of the languages and obtained a Minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
The student is not required to appear for any of the tests. The college will conduct an interview and tests. The assessment process prior to granting admission is as per rules mandated by the University.
Students who have passed the qualifying exam from a Board other than the Boards mentioned in the VTU list, have to obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, before the confirmation of their admission in the college.
