Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest fields of Engineering. It combines Math and Physics with Material Science, to analyze, design, manufacture, operate and maintain machines and mechanical systems. A student pursuing Mechanical Engineering will learn about the working of machines, including automobiles, heavy vehicles, air conditioners and refrigerators, heavy machinery, electric motors etc. Thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, structural analysis and properties of materials will also form a part of your course, besides CAD (Computer-aided Design) and CAM (Computer-aided Manufacturing).
