Requirements for joining the B.E Program in Aeronautical Engineering

If you are one of those people who believe that ‘sky is the limit’, if speed and accuracy are your forte, then Aeronautical Engineering is just the course tailor-made for you. MVJCE offers Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate programs in Aeronautical Engineering.

a). CET Quota Students:

• Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12^th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects.
• Must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in Math andPhysics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
• Must have cleared KCET.

b). Management Quota Direct Admission students:

• Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12^th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
• Must have cleared any of the following entrance examinations: KCET, COMEDK, UGET, AMPCK, AIEEE.
• Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.

c). Students in the SC/ST and CAT1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories:

• Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% in the qualifying examination.
• Must have cleared KCET

d). International/NRI students

• Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12^th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
• Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
• International / NRI students are requested to directly contact the Admission Cell at the college campus and obtain the Application Form.

Note: A student who has passed the qualifying exam (PUC, 12^th standard) from a recognized Board other than those mentioned by VTU, must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (New Delhi). This certificate is mandatory for admission in the College.

e). B.E Lateral Entry: CET Admission Process

• Must have passed the Diploma or equivalent examination as recognized by the University, and secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters), in the relevant branch of Engineering. In the case of SC/ST and OBC students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
• Must have cleared the Entrance Test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka (DCET – Diploma Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

MVJCE also has a Postgraduate program in Aeronautical Engineering.

Eligibility for M.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering:

Students applying for M.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, with a minimum of 50% aggregate.
