The Labs, Workshops, Seminars, Guest lectures and Hands-on training sessions that are part of the course structure make this programme a skill-based one, one of the suggestions recommended by NEP.The ultimate aimthough, is to create Engineers who are not only skilled in technology, but who can also bring to the table strength of character and problem-solving skills, with a deep concern for the societal problems around them, thereby making them holistic professionals.
In order to produce the next generation of skilled engineers who will play a vital role in building our nation's infrastructure, we need to provide the best technology so that they have the right tools to develop their skills and hone their creativity. MVJCE's campus is equipped with all the modern facilities and laboratories needed to train talented AI and DS engineers. The labs of the Computer Science and Engineering department prepare students for employment, teaching,or research. In these industry-supported labs, students, across semesters, are encouraged to try out a variety of activities and tests. The college actively invests in the latest software and new learning facilities, as we strongly believe in providing our students with the right tools for designing and building extraordinary solutions.
A list of the Labs in the Computer Science department
All these Labs provide hands-on experience to students, to complement the concepts learnt in the classroom, and to help them work out solutions to complex problems.
More importantly, MVJCE providesits students with platforms where they can express themselves and gain the confidence to present their creative ideas on a larger stage. AI&DS students at MVJCE get to enrol in a Chapter of the Computer Society of India (CSI). The Chapter organizes quizzes, guest lectures, seminars, workshops and coding events. Besides, the Computer Science department at MVJCE hosts a Club named NIC (Nova Innovative Compskey). ThisClub conducts technical competitions, events and experiential workshops, which help to develop the technical skills of students and introduces them to new technologies. GG (Esport), Capture the Flag 2.0, Tech Rush and Tech Flag are some of the popular events hosted by the Club. These events offerstudents a real-time experience of working with the technology used in industry.
MVJCE has a well-stocked central library with a vast collection of magazines, e-books and research papers, allowing aspiring Computer Engineers to acquire knowledge beyond the classroom. Portal services DELNET and NDL are also available to students. In addition, several valuable research journals, books and magazines are available at the department itself, ensuring that students are up-to-date on the latest technological developments in the field.
