Talents Day was conducted on the 10th of March, 2022, in Dr. MV Jayaraman Auditorium, MVJ College of Engineering. It was an eventful occasion wherein all the cultural clubs of MVJCE got to perform and the first and second year students got to showcase their talents.
RaagAbhinaya: The Theatre and Production Club of MVJCE performed ‘Murder Monday’, a comedy play. ‘Twitch’ an intriguing short film, filmed and produced by the various wings of the Club (Acting, Direction, Photography, Script Writing, Video Editing, Audio Editing, Designing) was screened.
Literartti – Saahitya: The Literature Club of MVJCE made a presentation on the functioning of the club and how each society runs: DebSoc (The Debate Society), WritSoc (The Writing Society), Socials, ShutterSoc (The Photography Society) and the Books and Beyond Society.
TedXMVJCE: The Ted team of MVJCE gave a glimpse into the Tedx events that took place over the last two years, their themes and the various speakers. Each wing of the organization (Production, Sponsorship, Communication and Marketing, Content Writing, Socials and Designing teams) spoke about their roles, and how each wing functions and co-ordinates for the final event.
Dhwani: The Music Club of MVJCE had its members performing both classical and contemporary songs. The vocalists and instrumentalists got to showcase their musical talents.
Toastmasters MVJCE: The Toastmasters Club of MVJCE introduced the club to the audience, speaking about its functioning. The members conducted a Table Topics Session, wherein a few students from the audience volunteered to speak about certain topics, on the spot.
Aakriti: The Art and Craft Club of MVJCE gave a presentation, showcasing all the beautiful art pieces created by the members of the club.
Nithyatrix: The members of this Dance Club of MVJCE showcased their brilliant dance moves through different forms of dance. Nithyatrix performed in Indian, Western and contemporary styles, which encouraged our freshers to audition and be a part of the club.
All in all, Talents Day 2022 was a roaring success, with over 200 students in attendance. The students enjoyed the event, more so because they were getting to attend a live event after 2 long years.
