The session was related to the various innovations and trends in civil engineering. The core of the lecture focused on the change in scenario of concrete application and the innovative and recent different building materials used in construction. Speaker elaborated on the Transparent Concrete-its applications and importance in detail.

A Guest Lecture on ‘Distress in Concrete Pavements - Causes, Precautions and Solutions’ was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, MVJCE, on 11th February 2021, at 9:00 am, in Seminar Hall 4. Around 60 students (UG and PG) and faculty members from the Department of Civil Engineering participated in this program. The guest speaker was Dr. Ramachandra V (Joint President - Technical, Ultra Tech Cement Ltd., Mumbai). This seminar was intended to stimulate the knowledge on Concrete Technology, Pavement construction, Repair and Rehabilitation in Structural and Transportation Engineering.

The Speaker was Mrs. Praveena Das Jennifer, Scientist C, Environmental and Exploration Geophysics Department (EEGD) who was also associated with S&T Project - ‘Seismic monitoring in old mining areas and Structural Monitoring of surface structures in urban areas’.
