Innovative Design Challenge
E-FORZA department club, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department organized Innovative Design Challenge on 6th November 2021, to motivate students with respect to innovation. In this event students learnt about importance of creating circuit on their own in effective way using their innovative ideas.
The task was to design an analog circuit and rig up the circuit designed to obtain the designed outputs. 18 students participated in the event. The participants could apply their knowledge on analog electronics in this event.
Round 1 the duration was 1 hour. In this round, the contestants had to design the given circuit, on paper. Experts evaluated the circuits and conducted viva voce on the topic, to shortlist the students who would go into the next round.
The duration for Round 2 was also 1 hour. In this round, the students connected the circuit using the components available in Robolab. The students who designed and shown circuit Karuna Sharma (1MJ19EC056) and Bhumika B (1MJ19EC027) were awarded 1st and 2nd place respectively.
Outcome:
- The participants were able to showcase their overall understanding of circuit designing requirements in innovative way.
- Students could understand the importance of matching hand calculated values to practical values for a circuit design.
- As a long-term benefit, the students got an opportunity to analyse and apply their theoretical knowledge on a practical level
